I have always loved sport. My family, my friends, my life, everything revolved around motocross. My plans were to go to the United States, to become world champion. When my accident happened, I had to invent a new future for myself.

ACCUSE THE BLOW

My first reaction upon my diagnosis was to tell myself everything was ruined. I had built my whole life around the motorcycle. What could I do now?

Over time, my perspective has changed. I said to myself: after all, I'm only 20 years old ! I have life ahead of me! I then asked myself the same question, this time from a different angle. What is the new project in which I will flourish?

Thanks to this new vision of things, I very quickly became positive. I realized that if I couldn't do anything to change my situation, I might as well work hard to make life easier. Being resilient has helped me move forward.

MOVE FORWARD, WHATEVER HAPPENS

Of course, not everything was rosy. Even if my view on disability did not really change after my accident, I discovered a world that I knew little about, I apprehended new difficulties. I discovered hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and their many negative points to improve.

Changing my outlook helped me enormously. I decided to see my situation as a new experience, an opportunity to try new things. I let myself be carried away by wave of positivism. Ultimately, I took on challenges that I wouldn't have faced otherwise.

“Today, I changed my philosophy. I put things into perspective a lot more. I learned that being happy is more important than anything. »

DISCOVER NEW TALENTS

It is essential to embark on new projects to realize that we can always accomplish things. This is why I got back into sport and won several competitions in various disciplines. This is how I took over confidence in myself.

After my accident, I needed to refocus on myself. It was by reconnecting with nature that I was able to fully find myself. I hope, during my next adventures, find this link that I wove and which brought me so much.

After my performance at the 2020 Dakar Rally, I decided to embark on a new project: #GOGREEN2024. My objective ? Perform despite my paraplegia in the rally raid with renewable energy vehicles. I don't plan to stop there! I also hope to plant 100,000 trees by 2024. For each new partnership or conference booked, I commit to bringing back a piece of nature and bringing partner companies into the movement so that, together, we have a positive impact on the planet.

If you want to join this new challenge, you can now book your conference or send your partnership request. To follow all my news, find me on Instagram @axelalletru.
